Jared P. Giesbrecht
J.D., PHD
Jared was born and raised in the Fort St. John area. He earned a degree in theology, a degree in philosophy, a law degree at Queen’s University, and a PhD in law at the University of Victoria.
His practice is primarily focused on commercial, real estate, and corporate law. He has a practical, no-nonsense approach to law that serves his clients well.

Laura R. A. Tesar
LLB
Laura is a northerner at heart. She was born and raised in Fort St John, BC. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Northern British Columbia and her law degree from the University of Alberta. Laura returned home and completed her articles at the firm before joining the BC bar in 2007.
Her practice is primarily focused on real estate, wills and estate planning, powers of attorney, advance health care planning, estate administration, committeeship applications, uncontested divorces and adoptions.

Timothy Thielmann
LLB
Timothy practices aboriginal law and business law. Prior to joining Giesbrecht Law, Timothy spent over a decade representing First Nations clients in project consultations, corporate structuring, and litigation.
He has been successful at the British Columbia Supreme Court and Court of Appeal and has negotiated landmark settlements related to the Site C dam project.
